Enjoy a holiday here at any time of year…

Long sandy beaches. Wild, remote beauty. A windsurfer’s paradise. A very warm welcome. This is what brings visitors back to this lovely island time and again.

It’s a large, but quiet island with a small population where you’ll find friendly resorts, magnificent beaches of soft yellow sand and virtually constant sunshine – even in our winter.

The almost constant Trade Winds make the island a windsurfer’s paradise and keep temperatures in the comfortable mid seventies (°F). Perfect whether you want to lie on the beach or skim the surface of the waves. Away from the resorts the countryside is very quiet, remote in places, but also dramatic and beautiful.

Corralejo in the north is a relaxed family resort where the windsurfing fraternity creates a lively atmosphere in the restaurants and bars. Caleta de Fuste is a popular east coast resort with a fabulous beach. To the south, Costa Calma has beautiful beaches, a few bars and fewer shops. Further south still, in Jandia, cheerful Morro Jable has an old town, port, hotels, restaurants and a beach promenade leading to the neon lights of the tourist area. Most entertainment is in hotels including discos, dances, singers and karaoke. Kite flying is just great thanks to that steady wind. In October there’s a big kite festival for kids and adults. Dolphins arrive offshore in October too.
